Who We Are

Specialties and Areas of Focus include:

LGBTQ+ related concerns, Sexual concerns, Men’s mental health concerns, Depression, Anxiety, Interpersonal Relationship concerns, Suicidal Ideation, Adolescents and Adults

I approach therapy the same way I try to live my life; with curiosity, compassion, and a belief in hope.

I work with clients by being curious about their lives and examining the choices they make - having empathy and compassion for all life circumstances, and trying to direct my work and life to be both nonjudgmental and supportive. Moreso, I believe that anyone is capable of change, holding hope and confidence for all of my clients.

I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with an Emphasis in Human Services and Counseling from the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point, and my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adler University. My experience working with adults in mental health day centers, adults with traumatic brain injuries, children and adolescents in the Chicago Public School system, and in a psychiatric hospital has helped shape me into the well rounded therapist I am today. I use all of my experiences and wisdom whenever I work in collaboration with my clients.

I infuse my therapy practice using skills from Reality Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Feminist Theories to help clients unlock their personal power and strengthen their sense of self.

I respect that making the decision to come to therapy can take a lot of self-reflection and vulnerability and I am looking forward to joining you on your counseling journey.

Specialties and Areas of Focus include:

Depression, Anxiety, Substance Use Disorders, Military Service Members, Gang Relations, and Individuals who have been incarcerated

As a young Latino therapist, I dive into my work fueled by an unwavering belief in people's power to choose change.

My double Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Forensic Mental Health Leadership, backed by my experience working with the forensic population, equips me to navigate diverse journeys with empathy and insight. Growing up in a troubled environment I gained a unique outlook on life and came to believe that your circumstances don't have to define you.

I tread lightly, employing reality therapy, person-centered therapy, and positive psychology to empower, not dictate. I see clients as collaborators, not patients, walking alongside them as they discover their own strengths and resources.

It's not about fixing, but facilitating self-awareness, building resilience, and finding solutions within. Witnessing individuals reclaim their agency and make empowered choices is my deepest reward.
